WHAT IS A VANPOOL?
A vanpool is a group of 5 to 15 people who have similar schedules and worksite locations and share their commute to and from work or school at the same time each day in a vanpool van. Island Transit Vanpools must begin or end in Island County.
A minimum of two people share the driving responsibilities rotating daily or weekly, it's up to the driver's. Use the HOV lanes to save time and the Toll lanes will save commute time and money!
You can celebrate the difference you’re making – dollars saved, commuter miles eliminated, emissions reduced and parking spaces freed up by calendaring your commutes on RideshareOnline.com. You can then generate monthly, 6 month and All Time use reports to see the savings!
If you believe you meet the criteria to start a vanpool, call 360-678-7771, or view the Vanpool sub pages on the ADDITIONAL SERVICES page of this website for detailed information.
